Crafting charm bags is a practical form of magick into which you can add your own creativity by enchanting objects and empowering them with your own magickal energies – in crafting a charm bag you are forming a unique bond with your creation – this is something which is completely unique and individual to you, a bag containing items you have connected to in your own personal way. ✨
Remember that creating charm bags should be a relaxing and magickal experience, so lighting candles and incense and playing relaxing music can be helpful. It’s important that you can give all of yourself over to this beautiful process, so ensuring you are not distracted and feel at peace is very important. 💗✨

And don’t forget that you can also add in your own objects and amulets to enhance them further.
It is important when blending herbs for charm bags, to stir in your intent (clockwise if this is a bag to attract something, and counter-clockwise if this is a bag to reflect, or banish) And take your time and as you blend, visualise the outcome you desire, and give thanks for it. 🙏🏼
Likewise, before adding crystals or amulets, sit with them a while, meditate with them and charge them with your energy; set your intentions.

Charm bags created to attract something are best created during a waxing moon.
Charm bags created to reflect or banish are best created during a waning moon.
You can also switch up the colour of your charm bag according to the magickal colour correspondences – here are a few:
- Black: Protection, banishing, easing depression or fear.
- Blue: Friendship, peace, creativity, independence.
- Brown: Strength, healing, diplomacy.
- Gold: Wealth, happiness, abundance,
- Green: Health, abundance, success, good fortune.
- Orange: Joy, charisma, creativity.
- Pink: Love, self-love, romance, friendship.
- Purple: Focus, insight, intuition.
- Red: Love, sex, passion, vitality.
- Silver: Respect, psychic ability, divination.
- White: Calm, peace, wisdom (and can be a substitute for any other colour).
- Yellow: Happiness, creativity, fun, kindness.
Once you have created your charm bag, what you do with it depends on its purpose:
If this is a protection charm bag, you may bury it at the entrance to your home, or hang it over your door. If it’s a charm bag to ease insomnia, you might keep it under your pillow. If this is to attract business success, you may keep it on your desk (or in the cash register if your business has one), and so on.
Remember to sit with, and recharge your charm bag regularly, until your desires have met. Once you no longer feel you need the charm bag, the contents can be returned to the earth (in the case of salt, herbs, etc.) or cleansed thoroughly for reuse (in the case of crystals, amulets and the like).
